Home of Loving Havanese Companion and Show Dogs
About Us
We enjoy living in sunny Reno/Sparks, Nevada, with our little furbabies. They live underfoot in the house, but have an enclosed yard they can enter at will via doggy door to play RLH, gym toys to play hide ‘n seek on & more toys than any little being should have.
Funny little clowns, our Havanese!

We, Pat and Pattie Zielke, moved from the long, cold winters of Wyoming to the sunny and much warmer climes of Reno/Sparks, Nevada in 2008. Seems as though we have nearly always been home in the mountains of the many western states we have lived in over the years, hence the name of our Havanese—LaMontaña Havanese.
The Havanese is not our first breed. Forty plus years ago we started out with a lovely Pom named Muffie; then we had a very cute English Bulldog named Gossamer Waump, whom we called Gussie, and a wonderful mixed breed collie-type, named Nevada. In Colorado, circumstances led to Pattie finding the Newfoundland breed that she is still so passionate about today, though she no longer shows nor breeds them. See the Z’Ourgang Newfs page for more as we remember that special time in our lives that led to showing, breeding and winning Championships, Group Placements and even Best in Show.
We have been living and loving our lives with the funny, sweet, charming Havanese for three years. We will conscientiously breed them beginning fall 2010. See the PLANNED LITTER INFO on our LINKS page. We are having lots of fun showing our Havanese in AKC Conformation ring. Our Havanese are CERF'd yearly, BAER tested and screened for hip dysplasia and patellar luxation at 2 years of age, certified heart sound and registered with OFA. Health is first.
